Error 403 "Blocked": your request was stopped
The website's protection took your request for an attack. This sometimes happens with harmless input too. How to get past it.
The page says "Blocked" with a red "Error 403" tab and the sentence "The protection of this site took the request for an attack and stopped it."
What happened
The proxy checks every request for typical attack patterns, such as database or script commands in an address or a form. Your request contained something that looked like that. The website itself never received it.
Common harmless causes
- You entered program code, special characters such as
<,>or', or strings likeSELECTinto a form. - You opened a very long or oddly built link.
- A browser extension adds extra parts to addresses.
What you can do
- Go back and try again, leaving out the unusual characters if you can.
- Open the website from its home page instead of an old link.
- If it happens again, send the Trace ID to the operator of the website. They can see which rule was triggered.
